Psychotherapy is a process...
A process in which we explore the issues that are concerning you, how they may have come about and what contributes to them, and ways to address them. Within an empathic, non-judgmental, and authentic relationship, struggles that seem unbearable can become manageable, and aspects of life that have been mystifying or confusing can become understood. In a trusting therapy relationship, you begin to feel more comfortable looking at the challenges and obstacles in your life, you are able to be more open, and enduring change can occur.
Our approach is called Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and is an empirically validated treatment that has been shown to have increased mental health benefit over time, as does Psychoanalysis.
